Statement of Comparability / Statement of Verification CIMEA Diplome

The Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria has signed an agreement with Cimea, the Information Center on Academic Mobility and Equivalence, for the issuing of the Statement of Comparability and the Statement of Verification of the final qualification of a foreign secondary school and/or university study.

Comparability means the indication of the level of the foreign qualification in reference to the cycles of the Bologna Process and the levels of the EQF (European Qualifications Framework).
This comparison does not in any way establish the formal recognition of the foreign qualification within the Italian system or by the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, but it is a useful indication for the Italian institution that evaluates the foreign qualification during the different recognition procedures.

Statements of Comparability and/or Verification are managed through the Diplome platform, entirely in English.
With Diplome, CIMEA issues its Statements of Comparability on blockchain, allowing holders of qualifications to share their qualifications with any institution in the world in a simple, secure and certified way.

The Statement of Verification is also available alongside the Statement of Comparability , through which CIMEA, thanks to its experience in the sector, will verify the actual issuing of an academic or secondary school qualification by the competent foreign institution.

Once the MyDiplome account has been created, students will be able to independently manage all contact with CIMEA experts and in particular they will be able to:
- find all the information necessary for requesting Certificates of Comparability and/or Verification;
- access a specific section called “Required Documents” in which they will find the detailed list, for all countries in the world, of the documentation required for issuing the requested Certificates;
- directly download the Consent Form to sign and attach to the request for Certification;
- contact directly via the “Info Request” service for any need or information .

Each user will be able to follow the status of requests forwarded to CIMEA directly through the “My Services” section of their MyDiplome Account.

The Statements of Comparability and Verification, once issued by CIMEA, will be sent in PDF format directly to the applicant, through the “My Services” section, and subsequently published on the digital Wallet, therefore registered and shareable directly by the student through blockchain technology.
