DIIES Research "Recognized Excellence"
One of the strengths of the DIIES is undoubtedly represented by the qualified network of research laboratories, some of which also continuously carry out activities on behalf of third parties. In fact, 15 research laboratories operate at the DIIES (of which 2 also on behalf of third parties), in addition to 2 local hubs of regional distributed laboratories (LOGICA, ICT-Lab).
Each laboratory is equipped with high-value equipment and almost all have a minimum surface area of at least 45 m2 each. Participation in regional and national consortia (e.g. RD-Log, CNIT and ICT-Sud) has also allowed for the availability of additional equipment including, for example, a Ku/Ka band satellite transmitting and receiving station provided by CNIT for the purposes of experimentation and the provision of European-level Teledoctoral courses.
Today the spaces dedicated to Research are enriched with 4 new Laboratories thanks to some interesting mixed public-private PONs that have been approved by the MIUR and, recently, have started their activities with the use of internal staff, as well as specialists from external companies.
