9 maggio | Presentation of the project Campus of the Mediterraneo

In the presence of the Minister of University and Research, Senator Anna Maria Bernini , on Friday 9 May, at 11:00 am, in the Quistelli Great Hall, the public presentation of the Mediterranean Campus project will take place , the construction of which will benefit from a ministerial allocation of four million euros.

An important moment of discussion and choral comparison on the new scenarios that want to promote Reggio Calabria more and more as an inclusive, welcoming, open University City, striving to enhance its Mediterranean identity, as a strong territorial feeling.

The Campus of (and in) the Mediterraneo therefore constitutes, for the University of Reggio, one of the most important bets to be able to strengthen the attractiveness both for southern students - who will be able to take advantage of better conditions to remain in their land - and for the many other young people who will be able to cultivate even more opportunities for stimulation and curiosity in the city of the Strait, positioned at the center of the mare nostrum, crossroads of peoples, art, culture and millenary history.

The presentation event will be opened by the Rector Giuseppe Zimbalatti .

This will be followed by reports from Antonio D'Elia and Alessandro Villari , teachers at Mediterranea, as well as speeches from the President of the Student Council Isabella Scardino , the Mayor of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Falcomatà , the MEP Giusi Princi , the Honourable Francesco Cannizzaro (Promoter of the legislative amendment for the Campus) and the President of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto .

The Minister of University and Research, Senator Anna Maria Bernini , will close the proceedings .
