In recent years, the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria has developed an internationalization strategy, primarily aimed at increasing the number of students with international mobility experience and promoting an internationalization program "at home".

The activities, agreed between the student, the Università Mediterranea and the host institution before departure, were formalized through the stipulation of an INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY AGREEMENT FOR STUDIES in which the terms for the implementation of the mobility and for the recognition of the activities for the purposes of validation in the career were specified.

For the following call, mobilities have been admitted to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Netherlands, Malta, Portugal, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Liechtenstein, Norway, Partner Countries of Region 14 such as: Faroe Islands, Switzerland, United Kingdom and, finally, EU Partner Countries from Regions 1-4 and 6-13.

Non-EU students intending to study abroad at our university must have a VISA. Students can find all the information they need on how to apply for a VISA by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website .

Students selected  through calls for applications from partner universities who require a visa must access the Universitaly portal  and proceed with pre-registration. It is recommended that under "Application Type" they select " I want to undertake a study/internship mobility period " and enter:

  1. the passport photo;
  2. passport;
  3. scholarship winning report;
  4. bilateral agreement;
  5. other useful documentation indicated by the department.

The Department must send the letter of eligibility for admission to the International Mobility Sector, International Student Enrollment, and Welcome Office. The relevant office will then verify the documentation uploaded during pre-registration on Universitaly, upload the letter of eligibility for admission to the same platform, validate, and forward the pre-registration application to the relevant Embassy.

This procedure will be necessary to obtain the VISA.

At the same time, the student must register for the Esse3 online services  of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria by following the steps in the Tutorial.

This will allow us to assign a student ID number and provide all necessary services (a badge for the free urban bus service, university Wi-Fi, and institutional email).

For accommodation and other assistance related to your stay in the city of Reggio Calabria, please consult the ERASMUS STUDENT NETWORK (ESN) page  and contact the email address [email protected] .

The Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria has signed an Erasmus+ extra-European mobility agreement for students and staff with the Université Euro-Méditerranéenne de Fès “UEMF”.

This agreement, involving the Department of Architecture and Design (dAeD) of the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria and the Ecole d'Architecture, de Design et d'Urbanisme of the University of Fès, offers students and the academic community of both countries an interesting opportunity for international training, with significant personal and professional implications.

As can be seen from the graph on the top left, we can see how the values are quite uniform over the academic years.
