Announcement Erasmus+ Student
The call for applications for Erasmus+ study and short-term traineeship mobility for the academic year 2026/2027 has been published .
Mobility project proposals, drawn up by interested teachers as per Annexes B1 (study) and B2 (traineeship) to this call, must be received via departmental protocol by 11:59 PM on November 2, 2026, to the International Relations and Language Services Area.
Students' training activities can be carried out starting from March 1, 2027, and their return must take place by June 30, 2027.
Students enrolled in the 2026/2027 academic year in a bachelor's degree, specialist/master's degree, single-cycle master's degree, PhD program, master's degree, or specialization school offered by the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria may apply for this call.
The International Relations and Language Services Area will be responsible for publishing the projects on the Erasmus+ Student Notices page starting November 4, 2026.
Students will be able to choose the activities in which to participate by selecting one of the aforementioned training projects prepared by the teachers of the respective departments: the Esse3 platform for the online submission of student applications will be active from 4 to 16 November 2026 .
To complete the online application, students must log in to their reserved area: https://unirc.esse3.cineca.it/ , click on "International Outgoing Mobility" and then "Mobility Calls," where the active calls for applications will be displayed. To register for the call, click on the magnifying glass icon and then "Fill out the form" to proceed with the application. It will be required to include the application form as a mandatory attachment (Annex A) .
Students, under penalty of exclusion, must duly complete and sign the application form (Annex A), including the title of the mobility project in which they intend to participate.

General Information and Duration
What is Erasmus+ Short-Term mobility?
It's a short-term mobility option that combines a period of physical activity abroad with a mandatory virtual component (the virtual component is not mandatory, except for doctoral students).
How long does the physical mobility period last?
The physical portion must last a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 7 days overall , including travel days.
When will the activities abroad take place?
The training activities must take place between March 1, 2027 , and June 30, 2027 .
How many credits can be earned?
Mobility must guarantee the recognition of a minimum number of credits in the student's career:
- At least 3 CFU for study activities.
- At least 2 CFU for traineeship activities.
Participation Requirements and Project Selection
Who can apply?
All students enrolled in the 2026/2027 academic year in a bachelor's, master's, single-cycle master's, PhD, master's, or specialization school at the University are eligible to apply. Students must not have exceeded the maximum number of Erasmus months allowed for their program.
How do I choose my destination and the activity I want to undertake?
You can't choose just any destination. You must select one of the training projects developed by your department's professors . The list of projects will be published starting November 4, 2026, on the Erasmus+ Student Notices page .
Can I apply for multiple projects?
No, each student can submit only one application for one project (study or traineeship) related to their department.
Are there any restrictions related to exams already taken?
Yes. For the study mobility program, you must not have already taken or passed the exam or training activity related to the chosen project, as recognition must occur at the end of the mobility program.
Application Procedures and Deadlines
What are the deadlines for students?
The online application platform will be active from November 4, 2026, until 11:59 PM on November 16, 2026 .
How do I apply?
The application must be completed exclusively online through the Esse3 portal :
- Access your reserved area.
- Go to "Outgoing international mobility" and then to "Mobility calls".
- Select the call, click on "fill out the form" and attach the signed and completed Annex A (Application Form).
- Remember to explicitly indicate the title of the chosen project, otherwise it will be excluded.
What should I do if I experience technical problems with Esse3?
You can promptly report the malfunction by writing to [email protected] or calling +39 09651691265 (Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am). Any reports received after the November 16th deadline will not be considered.
Financial Contribution and Scholarships
How much is the scholarship?
The funding includes several cumulative items:
- Individual support: €79.00 per day for documented days of physical activity and travel.
- Travel support: a fixed contribution calculated based on the mileage range of the destination (higher amounts are provided for green travel by train, bus, or carpooling).
Are financial supplements available for disadvantaged groups?
Yes, students with fewer opportunities (with an ISEE indicator between €0 and €28,339.88 registered on Esse3 at the application deadline) are entitled to a one-time additional contribution of €100.00 . Contributions based on actual costs are also available for students with disabilities or special needs.
How and when is the grant paid?
It is paid in two installments:
- The deposit (80%) within 45 days of signing the Financial Mobility Agreement before departure;
- The balance (20%) within 45 days of delivery of all end-of-mobility documents and completion of the Narrative Report (EU Survey) upon return.
Please note: All final documentation must be submitted within 20 days of your return, otherwise the scholarship will be forfeited and you will be required to return the deposit already received.
