Women Designing the Future: Technical training workshops open to the local community, promoted by AIDIA Reggio Calabria.
AIDIA - Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects, Reggio Calabria section, under the patronage of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria , launches the project " Women who Design the Future" , a training course aimed at those who wish to strengthen their skills in the fields of engineering, architecture, geological sciences, agricultural and forestry sciences, mathematics and, more generally, STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).
The project was created to enhance women's technical and design skills, enhancing their visibility and role in professional and academic contexts through a series of thematic workshops led by industry experts.
Objectives of the Course
● Offer interdisciplinary training opportunities in the STEAM field.
● Promote the professional, technical and personal growth of participants.
● Promote the visibility of women's contributions in the technical-scientific sectors.
● Stimulate planning and collaboration through practical activities and mentorship.
The program, initially designed for women only, is now open to anyone wishing to enhance their STEAM skills, given its relevance. Specifically, it is aimed at :
● University students
● Recent graduates
● Professionals in the technical-scientific sectors (recognition of CFP professional training credits is foreseen for participants registered with Professional Orders).
● Anyone who wants to build soft skills and create new professional connections.
For graduates of the Mediterranean University, it represents an opportunity to deepen their knowledge through practical activities and the creation of a project that can be enhanced in their portfolio.
Participation also allows you to establish qualified contacts with industry professionals and gain visibility during the presentation and final award ceremony of your work.

How it works The workshops will take place from January to May 2026, in person in Reggio Calabria or remotely, and will conclude with the presentation of a final project by the participants.
The workshops are divided into 5 macro-categories:

3. Communication, Leadership and Soft Skills
4. Personal Growth and Vision of the Future
5. Interdisciplinarity and Connections
How to Participate The call is open from 6 December 2025 and will remain active until 9 January 2026.
Applications will be evaluated based on the motivation expressed in the application.
