A student in the Primary Education Sciences degree program (LM85bis) is among the four finalists for the Carla Poesio Prize for Children's Literature.
Established by the Bologna Children's Book Fair in collaboration with the Center for Research in Children's Literature at the University of Bologna (CRLI), the Poesio Prize—now in its eighth year—is an annual award aimed at recognizing the most innovative and original Italian degree thesis in children's literature.
Participation is open to anyone whose thesis work has explored significant themes in children's literature and their intertwining with the imagination, including the connections that the complexity of this subject establishes, for example, with artistic, educational, and cross-media fields.
From the theses received from universities across Italy, the jury—composed of Professors Emma Beseghi, Lorenzo Cantatore, and Pino Boero—identified four finalists for 2026, including student Annachiara Casoria (Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education Sciences, UNIRC-DiGiES), with a degree thesis in Children's Literature (Supervisor: Professor Valerio Ferro Allodola ) entitled: "Words that Light Up: Poetry as an Educational Experience with the Caviardage® Method. An Exploratory Research in Primary School."
