From June 24th to 26th the dAeD initiative dedicated to the Third Mission


The   dAeD IMPACT – Generating Value. University, Community, and Impact event, 
promoted by the Department of Architecture and Design at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, will be held from June 24 to 25, 2026, in the Aula Magna "Ludovico Quaroni."
The initiative aims to highlight the impact of the Department of Architecture and Design's research and third mission activities on the local area and communities, highlighting the results of agreements, internships, and framework agreements signed between dAeD Research Laboratories and public bodies, businesses, engineering and architecture firms, and third sector organizations between 2023 and 2026, and with potential future stakeholders.
The work will begin at 11:00 am on June 24, 2026 , dedicated to dAeD and the territory . After the morning session on IMPACT_Third Mission , the afternoon will be dedicated to the session I IMPACT for the territory and communities starting at 3:00 pm with dAeD stakeholders.
The following day, June 25, 2026 , will be dedicated to the session Youth, skills and future - IMPACT Youth , scheduled for 9:30 am, with presentations by grant holders, doctoral students and contractors on skills, methodologies, tools and potential for collaboration with public bodies, businesses and professions and 
impact projections, followed by a light lunch.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that the 2nd CUIA National Conference , entitled "The University as Mission. Intelligences, Worlds, and Societies ," will be held on June 26, 2026. It will bring together professors and researchers from Italian Architecture institutions to discuss the role of the university in contemporary society. The conference will be enriched by a lecture by Professor Stefano Jossa, entitled " Starting from the Foundations: of the University ," offering a concluding reflection on the value of education and research as tools for cultural and civic growth.
