Università Mediterranea approves 2025 budget with €6.5 million profit

The University of Reggio Calabria consolidates a solid balance sheet, with growing enrollments.

The governing bodies of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria have approved the 2025 financial statements, closing with a significant profit of over €6.5 million. This solid result consolidates a period of financial stability and paves the way for an important period for the University of Reggio Calabria.

The year 2025 also marks an increase in the number of registrations of over 15% compared to the previous year and of approximately 38% compared to two years ago.

Rector Giuseppe Zimbalatti expressed great satisfaction: " These financial figures, combined with the significant growth trend in new and overall enrollment, give us a more positive outlook, despite the critical issues and significant room for improvement in the local and national framework. The significant financial stability, combined with the significant increase in student numbers, provides the region with a public university even more prepared to face the near future, especially in terms of attractiveness, educational offerings for students, and technology transfer for the entire region ."
