Regeni, the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria joins the "Universities for Giulio" initiative.

On May 22, 2026, at 9:00 am , in the Aula Magna “Antonio Quistelli” , a special screening of the documentary "Giulio Regeni - Tutto il  male del mondo" , produced by Fandango and Ganesh Produzioni, will be held, accompanied by a debate dedicated to the themes of freedom of study and research. 

The event is organized by the Doctoral School of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, as part of the  "Universities for Giulio Regeni" initiative , promoted by Senator for Life and scientist Elena Cattaneo ten years after the young researcher's disappearance in Egypt: 76 universities, 15,000 people involved in two months of meetings and screenings on freedom of research.

The initiative consists of a series of events organized between April and May 2026 at 76 universities across Italy for an audience of over 15,000 people, including students, researchers, academic staff, and citizens.

Senator Professor Elena Cattaneo will participate in the event organized in Reggio Calabria .
