Master's Degrees DICEAM 2026-2027
For the 2026/2027 academic year, the DICEAM Department of the Università Mediterranea presents two master's degrees— Civil Engineering and Engineering for Sustainable Environmental and Energy Management —designed to consolidate and expand the skills acquired during the three-year program, training professionals capable of working with advanced responsibilities in design, infrastructure management, energy and environmental planning, and ecological transition processes.
These programs integrate research, specialized laboratories, collaboration with institutions and companies, and a strong focus on innovation, opening access to qualified roles in engineering firms, construction companies, energy companies, public bodies, environmental companies, and organizations operating in sustainability and system efficiency. These two programs prepare students for high-profile technical professions while also providing the foundation for graduate studies, specializations, and applied research.
Find out what you'll learn and what you can do:
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
The program trains professionals who, while all characterized by a strong and solid background in the core disciplines of civil engineering, each possess a high degree of specialization that allows them to work in the fields of hydraulic and maritime works, geotechnical works, structures, infrastructure, and transportation systems.
The resulting professional profile is that of a professional with interdisciplinary knowledge and a strong role in coordination and responsibility from the design phase to the execution and management phases of large and complex engineering projects.
WHAT YOU CAN DO AFTER:
A graduate is an engineer specialized in the design and construction of large civil structures and infrastructure, including in seismic zones. They carry out public and private civil works and strategic infrastructure such as roads, railways, airports, ports, dams, bridges, and tunnels. They oversee all phases of a project's life cycle, from design to execution, from renovation to ordinary and extraordinary maintenance. Civil engineers possess interdisciplinary training that encompasses multiple sectors and, in addition to freelance work, opens up a variety of career opportunities within businesses, private companies, agencies, and public administrations.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
The interclass course allows all students to gain high-level technical preparation in the areas of protection from anthropogenic risks, the circular economy, and environmental, industrial, and energy systems. Students can then choose to delve deeper into environmental protection engineering and hydrogeological risk mitigation, as well as sustainable energy production and the management of complex energy systems.
WHAT YOU CAN DO NEXT:
Design engineer for civil structures and industrial processes for environmental and land protection (disposal plants, landfills, waste treatment processes, protection from hydrogeological risks, product life cycles). Energy engineer for the design and management of energy systems from traditional and renewable sources (design and management of smart grids, energy communities, cogeneration systems, biorefining, circular economy).
