On Saturday, July 12 , the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria met at its headquarters  with a delegation from Narxoz University, based in Almaty (Kazakhstan), to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for cooperation initiatives between the two institutions: from student mobility and visiting scholar programs, to the exchange of teaching staff, master's and doctoral programs, summer schools, and other training and research activities.

The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of the Honorable Giusi Princi, Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the Delegation for Relations with Central Asia.

Mediterranea's internationalization programs continue, therefore, with a significant expansion of relations in the Central Asian area.

Kazakhstan is the largest of the Central Asian Republics, with a thousand-year history, sites recognized as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, and rich in raw materials and energy resources.
