International Education Day
On the occasion of International Education Day, the CSI-Reggio Calabria, in collaboration with DiGiES and specifically the Sports Law Laboratory, is organizing a discussion on the topic of "probation" in sport to reflect on the value of sporting activities within rehabilitation programs.
Professionals from the legal, sports, and mediation sectors will offer various interpretations of the institution, also in light of the recent openings in the sports system toward forms of restorative justice and alternative and/or supplemental reparation pathways to traditional sanctions and punishments.
Following greetings from Professor Maria Sammarro, also representing the Director of DiGiES, Professor Massimo Finocchiaro Castro, and Dr. Francesca Chirico, CEO of Ismed Group and Coordinator of the ADRMedLAB, the proceedings will be introduced and moderated by Professor Daniele Cananzi, Vice Rector for Cultural Activities at the University and professor of philosophy of law as well as professor of restorative justice. The roundtable discussion will feature presentations by attorney Alessandra Callea, attorney Sergio Zumbo, Professor Angela Busacca, and Dr. Paolo Cicciù will present, in the final part of the meeting, the practical experiences of the CSI, including the participation of some of the key figures involved.
The meeting is scheduled for 3:30 pm in Room 1 of the Palazzo Zani complex.
