Technology Transfer Office
For several years now, the University has proposed and implemented a variety of technology transfer initiatives, including business startup support, participation in entrepreneurial competitions, organization of innovation events, and management of the Contamination Lab, a space dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial culture.
Thanks to funding for the TRANSFER-MED and Invention Promotion Med projects under the call for proposals adopted by Decree of the Director General for the Protection of Industrial Property (UIBM) on July 26, 2022, and funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU) as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (UTT 2023-2025 Call), it was possible to ensure operational continuity with existing activities and strengthen the Research, Technology Transfer, Third Mission, and Participatory Areas through the confirmation of two key professional figures in technology transfer processes: the Knowledge Transfer Manager and the Innovation Promoter.
The actions undertaken are aimed at enhancing research results and offering ongoing support to University researchers. In this context, the program promotes scouting, management, and dissemination of patents, the development of intellectual property regulations, and the strengthening of partnerships between universities, trade associations, and businesses, with a view to collaborative innovation and regional development, within the framework of regional Smart Specialization.
The projects were refinanced on a business-continuing basis by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy under the new call for proposals adopted with Director's Decree no. 7002 of March 11, 2025, for the period 2025-2027.
