AIMED 2026 - Economic and Policy Implications of Artificial Intelligence - 16 and 17 March 2026

The sixth edition of the international seminar “AIMED 2026 - Economic and Policy Implications of Artificial Intelligence - Governance, Community and Sustainability,” organized annually by Professor Domenico Marino and Dr. Melchiorre Monaca, is taking place these days (March 16–17) at DIGIES.

The event represents an important opportunity for scientific and professional discussion on the economic and political transformations brought about by the development of artificial intelligence technologies. The seminar focuses on the theme of "Governance, Community, and Sustainability," highlighting the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents to institutions, communities, and contemporary economic systems.

Over two days, internationally renowned scholars, researchers, and industry professionals will analyze the multiple aspects of integrating AI technologies into rapidly changing and increasingly complex economic, social, and political contexts. The seminar's goal is to foster a multidisciplinary reflection on how artificial intelligence is redefining decision-making processes, governance models, and sustainable development dynamics.

Through academic presentations, empirical research contributions, and open discussions, participants will have the opportunity to explore the relationship between technological innovation and public policy, as well as the economic implications of the increasingly widespread diffusion of AI applications.
