Training course Project FORMA D - Operational training for the recognition of violence against persons with disabilities
The Piccola Opera Papa Giovanni ETS Association, which manages the "Angela Morabito" Anti-Violence Center and Shelter, services authorized by the Calabria Region, has promoted the "FORMA D - Operational Training for Disability Recognition" project, as part of the Prime Ministerial Decree of November 28, 2024 – Fund for Policies Relating to Rights and Equal Opportunities – Year 2024. This project will include the launch of a specialized training course for educators in September. The goal is to train professionals capable of effectively responding to the needs of women in vulnerable situations due to gender-based and/or domestic violence, with a specific focus on women with disabilities and their children.
The training program will be structured into 120 hours: a first theoretical part of 60 hours, which will take place at the headquarters of the DIGIES Department of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, located in Via Miraglia, Palazzo Zani, at the end of which a test will be carried out to verify the skills acquired, and a second part of another 60 hours at the "Angela Morabito" anti-violence services of the Piccola Opera Papa Giovanni ETS.
The postgraduate specialization course will be open to graduates in Educational and Training Sciences L-19 and Educational Services Planning and Management LM-50.
The course will run with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 students, and registration and attendance are completely free . Students will be supported throughout the entire course (120 hours) by a tutor. Applications will be accepted in order of receipt and will be based on the date and time of arrival. We reserve the right to grant admission to the course, based on the number of applications received, to undergraduates enrolled in the aforementioned degree programs and those with degrees in other relevant disciplines.
