Degree conferred in memory of Antonella Cannizzaro, a student at Università Mediterranea
The degree conferral ceremony in memory of Antonella Cannizzaro, a student in the Primary Education Sciences degree program at the Digies Department of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, took place today.
In a silent and emotional Quistelli Aula Magna, in the presence of the family, the Rector, Professor Giuseppe Zimbalatti, awarded the honorary degree posthumously with the highest honors.
The presentations by the Course Coordinator, Professor Alessandra Priore, on the topic of "The Value of Time in Seneca," and by Professor Antonio D'Elia, speaker of the discussion "The Relevance of the Divine Comedy: Current Events Reported by the Supreme Poet in the Three Canticles," paid tribute to a thoughtful and generous student, whom her colleague Francesca Placanica remembered with great emotion.
A long and intense round of applause accompanied the delivery of the degree certificate into the hands of her husband and daughter.
