The Department of Agriculture is increasingly rooted in the local community and serving young people!

The PCTO course "Genetics and Applied Biotechnologies" involving students from classes 4C sa and 4D sa of the "A. Volta" Scientific High School of Reggio Calabria has successfully concluded at the Department of Agriculture of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria.

Under the guidance of Professor Sunseri and Doctors Antonio Mauceri and Laura Misale, the students enjoyed a true university experience, combining advanced theory with the study of the principles of genetics and biotechnology applied to plant production, laboratory practice using cutting-edge scientific instruments, and field experimentation on real-world plant DNA and RNA extraction activities.
