The Municipality of Reggio Calabria delivers new land to the University Agricultural Company.

In the presence of the Mayor of Reggio Calabria, Dr. Domenico Battaglia, and the Rector of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, Prof. Giuseppe Zimbalatti, the delivery of additional land in the hamlet of Gallina for the University Agricultural Company was formalized.

“ This move strengthens connections between institutions, generating development opportunities for the local area and further enhancing the work of revitalizing the University Agricultural Company, which has been underway for several years, thanks also to the great support of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, ” declared Giuseppe Zimbalatti, Rector of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria .

" We are sealing a journey that began in 2023 and has already yielded tangible results in the area in terms of urban recovery and redevelopment. Through a further consolidated synergy, we are making a previously completely abandoned area accessible, making it available not only to students but to the entire community, " commented Acting Mayor Domenico Battaglia and City Councilor for Public Works Paolo Brunetti .

From today, the Agricultural Company of the Università Mediterranea dif Reggio Calabria extends over approximately 11 hectares and strengthens its role as a space for technology transfer and third mission, where training and research contribute to building development and a vision for the future.
