SNA Calabria Training Center

The Territorial Center of the National School of Administration (SNA) of Reggio Calabria , established by Prime Ministerial Decree of 11 December 2023 and officially operational since 15 December 2023, was born at the instigation of the President of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto and the then Vice President Hon. Giusi Princi, together with the Rector of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Zimbalatti, the Calabrian Parliamentarian Francesco Cannizzaro and the Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo.

Located in Palazzo Zani, home of the Università Mediterranea, the Center represents a point of reference for the advanced training of Public Administration personnel, offering specialized training courses with a focus on rights, immigration and the implementation of the PNRR and other programs financed with community funds.

The educational approach of the Center is multidisciplinary and integrates disciplines such as law, economics, applied computer science and behavioral sciences. 

The aim is to provide public employees of Local Authorities and Public Administrations with specialized skills to improve the effectiveness of administrative action and promote a more modern and efficient administration.

 

Organizational structure

For the coordination of training activities, the Centre is managed by a Coordination Committee , composed of representatives of the institutions involved:

  • Hon. Giusi Princi , for the Calabria Region - President;
  • Dr. Paolo Vicchiarello , Head of the Civil Service Department;
  • Councilor Paolo Naccarato , for the National School of Administration;
  • Prof. Daniele Cananzi , for the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.

The Committee is supported by a  Technical Directorate, coordinated by Prof. Daniele Cananzi and composed of:

  • Dr. Giovanna Barreca , for the Calabria Region;
  • Dr. Alessandra Cinquantaquattro , for the SNA;

The functions of the Directorate include managing enrollments, supporting the management of courses, communication, organizing training events and coordinating course evaluation and certification activities.
