Trends in biometrics: seminar by Prof. Christophe Rosenberger
On May 27, at 4:00 pm, the seminar entitled “Trends in biometrics” will be held in the Distance Learning Room of the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, organized as part of the course “Technologies for Information Security” (Master's Degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications Systems Engineering, LM-27).
The seminar will be held by Prof. Christophe Rosenberger , Full Professor in Cybersecurity at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Caen , in Caen, France.
The meeting will focus on biometrics, a technology now widely used in everyday life, such as user authentication systems on smartphones and other digital devices. The seminar will explore the role of artificial intelligence in generating biometric features, aimed at verifying user identities.
Some of the main scientific trends in the field will also be presented, with particular attention to highly topical issues such as ensuring fairness in biometric systems, privacy protection, robustness to cyber attacks, and the challenges related to the security and reliability of these technologies.
The initiative will represent an important opportunity for students and doctoral students to gain in-depth knowledge, offering a scientific and international perspective on a central area of cybersecurity and information security technologies.
