Harmonies Without Borders - A Meeting of Voices, Cultures, and Traditions

20 October 2026

On October 20, 2026, music becomes a space for meeting and dialogue at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria.

Music as a universal language, capable of crossing borders and cultures.

This is the meaning of "Harmonies without Borders - A Meeting of Voices, Cultures and Traditions," the initiative promoted by the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. The event will feature the Minsk Polyphonic Choir, founded by Professor Olga Ivanova and directed by Maestro Maria Kalenik, and the Polyphonic Choir of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, directed by Maestro Claudio Bagnato.

The event will take place on Tuesday, October 20, at 7:00 pm, in the Aula Magna “A. Quistelli” of the Università Mediterranea .

Two choral groups, representing different traditions and cultural contexts, come together for an evening dedicated to music, listening, and sharing. The concert will offer audiences the opportunity to explore diverse repertoires and, through polyphonic music, experience the power of a language capable of fostering dialogue and connection.

The initiative is part of the Mediterranea University's cultural and Third Mission activities, confirming the University's role as a place open to the community and the region, and as a forum for international exchange.

The event is open to the university community and the public.
