OFA Additional Training Obligations
Additional Learning Obligations (OFA) are an educational debt that, pursuant to Article 6 of Ministerial Decree 270/2004, is attributed to students who do not demonstrate adequate preparation based on the initial assessment test upon admission to a university course.
The goal of OFAs is to ensure that all students have the basic knowledge needed to successfully complete the course curriculum. These requirements may concern subjects such as mathematics, Italian, logic, physics, or other core disciplines, depending on the chosen degree program.
Students with OFA must complete the courses or additional activities required during their university studies, usually within the first year. Failure to meet these requirements prevents them from continuing with their planned study plan, preventing them from taking exams or earning credits (CFU) related to their degree program.
In some cases, OFA requirements can be satisfied through remedial courses, seminars, workshops, or specific tests organized by the University. Fulfilling these obligations is essential to ensure successful completion of the academic program and achievement of the program's educational objectives.
