Alias Career
To foster an inclusive learning environment based on the principle of equal dignity and the recognition of the right to gender self-determination, the Università Mediterranea has established the alias career path.
The alias career tool consists of assigning the interested party a temporary, transitory, and non-consolidable "identity" to be used to access internal University services and carry out all internal career activities within the University.
Who can request it?
Students who are regularly enrolled and have paid their tuition fees for a bachelor's, master's, single-cycle master's, doctoral, specialization, or master's degree program offered by the University may request the activation of an alias identity to express their gender self-determination, whether they have already begun a gender transition process, pursuant to Law No. 164 of April 14, 1982, as amended, or if there is a conflict between their name and their appearance, a source of discomfort and difficulty in interpersonal relationships, and no gender transition process has been initiated.
Activation procedure
- submission of the application drawn up according to the model attached to the Regulation ( Annex A ) to the reserved email address: [email protected] , accompanied by a valid identity document;
- conducting an introductory interview by the University's Single Guarantee Committee (CUG);
- signature, by the Rector and the applicant, of a confidentiality agreement, drawn up according to the model attached to the Regulations ( Annex B ).
