The internationalization of teaching and research is a strategic priority for the Department of Excellence (DIIES), as highlighted in the objectives of the Department's Strategic Plan 2024–2026. This focus is based on a consolidated network of international scientific and academic collaborations, as well as a growing openness to mobility and cooperation initiatives.
Among the main strengths are:
- the participation of the Department's professors in international research networks (e.g. SATNEX-VI, NetworldEurope, POLIS);
- the numerous scientific collaborations with European and non-European universities and research institutes, demonstrated by publications and joint research projects;
- the organization of seminars and educational activities with the participation of international professors and researchers visiting the Department;
- the presence of numerous active bilateral agreements under the Erasmus+ program, aimed at study and internship mobility, as well as the Department's recent ability to promote and participate in international educational initiatives such as Blended Intensive Programs (BIP), short-term mobility programs, and traineeship programs;
- the presence of foreign professors in the PhD teaching staff;
- the forms of incentives provided for in the teaching regulations of the Degree Courses belonging to the DIIES, in favor of students who successfully participate in international mobility programs.
From this perspective, the DIIES aims to further strengthen its international positioning by promoting new scientific and educational synergies and increasing mobility opportunities for students, teachers, and researchers.
