Studying at DIIES
Dear Students,
The DIIES Department is the only Engineering department in Calabria and Sicily to have obtained the certification of Department of Excellence from the Ministry of University and Scientific Research for the five-year period 2023-2027.
As many as 15 of the professors of the DIIES Department's Study Courses have been included in the TOP 2% Scientist ranking, drawn up by Stanford University, which lists the best researchers worldwide in 2023.
This determines the high quality of the Study Courses which allows our students to achieve a high level of preparation recognized internationally.
The DIIES Department offers newly graduated students two Bachelor's Degree courses, respectively in "Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering (L8)" and in "Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (L8)" and then continue through the possibility of specializing with a Master's Degree in "Computer Science and Telecommunications Systems (LM 27)" and a Master's Degree in "Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (LM29)". Furthermore, as a third level of training it offers a PhD Course in "Information Engineering".
Each course of study is divided into different curricula and orientations that will allow you to build the study path that best suits your interests and aspirations, allowing you to delve into current and absolutely relevant topics in today's world such as: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of the Future, Holographic Communications, Biomedicine, Electronics, Intelligent Transport Systems, Sustainable Energy.
Furthermore, during your training course you will have the opportunity to refine your skills in one of the 15 Laboratories active at the Department and to carry out a training internship, in Italy or abroad, in one of the over one hundred leading companies that have signed an agreement with the DIIES.
