First Enrollment
Below are all the steps you need to follow to enroll for the first time in a degree program at the Mediterranean University.
First, consult the 2025-2026 Course Offerings section to see all the courses available for enrollment and choose the most suitable one, checking the entry requirements (possible admission test) and the deadlines for initial enrollment.
Requirements
To enroll in any undergraduate or graduate degree program, you must have a high school diploma or another recognized foreign qualification.
Before proceeding with online registration you must:
- the ISEE-U form for the current year in order to give the University authorization to acquire the data and to take advantage of the expected benefits
- a passport-sized photo to attach
- an identity document to attach
Procedure for first registration
To proceed with initial enrollment or registration for the bachelor's degree programs or single-cycle master's degree programs, you must access the Mediterranea ESSE3 student portal and register using SPID or, if you do not have SPID credentials, with your personal information using the appropriate menu item. Then follow the guided online process: Registrar's Office/Enrollment (entering: photo, ID, and authorizing the University to acquire valid ISEE-U data) until the fee is generated.
The procedure has been active since June:
- three-year and single-cycle master's degree courses with open access
- Two-year master's degree courses with verification of curricular requirements, pre-enrollment in two-year master's degrees, enrollment in single courses, transfers, and transfers.
For courses with limited places, please consult the specific section.
After paying the university fee (using PagoPA exclusively) , the system assigns the student a student ID number, a numeric identification code required for all formalities (paying fees, booking exams, etc.). The student ID number protects the student's privacy because it is used in public spaces (noticeboards and web pages) instead of their personal information.
Furthermore, within the next 5 days, an institutional email address will be generated (in the format [email protected] ) which must be used to communicate with the University.
On the University portals ESSE3 and DSU it is possible to:
- complete the study plan
- book exams
- check the amount and pay subsequent fees
- follow the academic career
- participate in the annual call for applications for the Right to Education benefits .
Some open-access bachelor's degree programs require an entry-level test to assess student knowledge , which can be taken before or after enrollment. This test assesses basic knowledge necessary for successful career progression and varies from program to program. Each program establishes when the test is considered passed and the criteria for assigning any additional learning requirements (OFA) to the student. The score obtained on the test does not preclude enrollment in the program.
Enrollment in two-year master's degree courses
Anyone who holds a bachelor's degree or a three-year university diploma, or another recognized foreign qualification, can enroll in any master's degree program.
To be admitted to an open-access master's degree program, students must meet specific curricular requirements. To verify the curricular requirements for admission, they must register for a preliminary assessment procedure available in the reserved area of the Esse3 portal under "Administration / Assessment Procedure", selecting the program of interest.
The request will be evaluated by the University and the outcome will be communicated to the student via email. If approved, the student can proceed with enrollment. The path in the reserved area of the Esse3 portal is "Segreteria/Immatricolazione" (Admissions/Enrollment), following the guided online procedure until the fee is generated.
Bachelor's degree graduates from the Mediterranean University who already have Esse3 portal login credentials will not need to re-register, but will need to authenticate with their existing credentials or via SPID.
