Rector
Elected from among full-time full professors for a six-year term, he is the legal representative of the University. He convenes the Academic Senate and the Board of Directors and coordinates their activities. He ensures compliance with the rules of the national university system, the Statute and the University regulations. He prepares the fundamental guidelines of the University's multi-year development plan and annual programme.

Pro-Rectors
The Rector appoints by his own decree the Deputy Pro-Rector, chosen from among the first-rank tenured professors, who deputises for him in all his functions in cases of impediment or absence. The Deputy Vice-Rector assist the Rector in the management of the University's policies in specific sectors.

Rector's delegates
Rector's delegates support the Rector in managing the University's policies in specific areas.

Academic Senate
It determines the University's cultural policy, exercising planning and policy-making tasks and coordinating teaching and research activities. It ensures compliance with the principles of the University's autonomy, the teaching and research freedom of individual lecturers and the rights of students.

Integrated Academic Senate
Decides on amendments to the Statute (Art. 73) proposed by the central bodies of the University or by individual structures.
Administrative Council
Exercises all powers relating to the financial and asset planning of the University.

Has advisory functions for the promotion and coordination of research activities.
Student Council
It is the autonomous body for the representation, organisation and coordination of students. It coordinates the activities of student representation in the other central governing bodies and in the bodies of the University structures.

Internal Evaluation Board
The University adopts a system of internal evaluation of administrative management, teaching and research activities, and support for the right to study, verifying, also through comparative analyses of costs and returns, the correct use of public resources, the productivity of research and teaching, as well as the impartiality and good performance of administrative action. The evaluation functions are carried out by the University Evaluation Board.

Board of Auditors
