CUG - Single Guarantee Committee
The Single Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities, the Promotion of Worker Well-Being, and the Fight Against Discrimination (CUG) is a body established for public administrations by Law No. 183 of 2010.
The CUG of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria is composed of faculty and technical-administrative staff of the University (both appointed by the union and appointed by the Administration), established to ensure overall gender equality. The composition and functioning of the CUG are governed by a specific University regulation.
As outlined in Directive No. 2/2019, the CUG's functions are proactive, consultative, and reviewing, and are aimed at promoting and protecting equal opportunities and the occupational and organizational well-being of all University staff, preventing and combating any form of direct or indirect discrimination in the workplace.
