International students who wish to enrol at the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria in order to obtain an Italian degree or who wish to spend a period of mobility at our University may consult the following sections to find out the procedures to follow.

The Educational Offer of the Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria for the academic year 2024-2025, is provided in 5 Departments and is divided into 10 disciplinary macro-areas:

For the 2025-2026 academic year, 28 study courses will be active , divided into:

  • 14 three-year degree courses,
  • 11 two-year Master's Degree Courses
  • 3 five-year single-cycle Master's Degree courses .

In addition to these courses of study, at the postgraduate level there is the School of Specialization for Legal Professions, as well as Masters and PhDs.

In addition to these, there are training and advanced training courses, leisure activities, off-site activities, and experiences both nationally and internationally.

The Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, with the support of CISIA (Interuniversity Consortium for Integrated Access Systems), offers the  ITA L2 TEST | Cisia online (abbreviated as  TEST ITA-L2 (Bravo!) ) to assess Italian language proficiency at level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This test is intended for students from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in one of the university's Italian-taught degree programs and who require a study visa.

The test will be delivered in  TEST ITA-L2@HOME mode

The  ITA-L2 TEST  is computer-based and administered online through CISIA's proprietary platform. The test structure, syllabus, and assessment are available on the  ITA-L2 TEST Structure and Topics page.

The  ITA-L2 TEST , required for enrollment in degree programs, is for self-assessment only. The Italian language level is assessed according to the following criteria.

P ≤11Anyone who obtains a score lower than or equal to 11 can be considered to have a beginner level of knowledge of the Italian language and in any case lower than level A1.
11 < P ≤ 32Anyone who obtains a score higher than 11 and lower than or equal to 32 can be considered to have an elementary level of knowledge of the Italian language and in any case between the possible levels A1 and A2.
32 < P ≤ 48Anyone who obtains a score greater than 32 and less than or equal to 48 points can be considered to have a pre-intermediate level of knowledge of the Italian language and in any case between the possible levels A2+ and B1.
48 < P ≤ 61Anyone who obtains a score higher than 48 and lower than or equal to 61 can be considered to have an intermediate level of knowledge of the Italian language and in any case between the possible levels B1+ and B2.
61< P ≤ 72Anyone who obtains a score higher than 61 up to the maximum achievable score of 72 can be considered to have an advanced level of knowledge of the Italian language and in any case between the possible levels B2 and C1.

The test is considered passed when a minimum score of 49 is achieved. 

For the year 2026, the  expected dates  for the  ITA-L2 TEST  are:

  • June 25, 2026
  • July 17, 2026
  • 18/09/2026
