Services for students with disabilities and DSA

All students with disabilities and DSA can contact the Disabled and Equal Opportunity Sector to tackle the university path and receive targeted assistance and equal conditions in the right to study. The Office intervenes to overcome educational and practical obstacles that limit complete integration into the university world.

It carries out coordination, monitoring and support activities for initiatives for the integration of students with disabilities, and is responsible for identifying needs and interventions to be adopted.

It provides students, who are entitled to it and who request it, with technical equipment, specific teaching aids, tutoring services, personal assistance services and other initiatives to facilitate the course of study undertaken.

The University has identified a delegate of the rector for students with disabilities. All the Departments have done the same. The Office and the Delegates will identify and implement all necessary interventions so that every student with disabilities can fully benefit from the chosen course of study, by creating the best practical, logistical and relational conditions necessary. In the presence of specific needs in the course of study, students can obtain:

  • consultancy for the handling of administrative procedures;
  • peer tutors, from the general ranking for part-time collaborations, who can carry out various support activities;
  • specialized tutors, selected on the basis of their specific professional skills and abilities (psychologists, LIS interpreters, etc.);
  • assistance in requesting the purchase of computer software and other dedicated aids.
