Visiting periods and stages
Visiting PhD students are foreign or Italian PhD students enrolled in foreign universities invited to the departments to carry out a mobility period.
Some forms of financial support are available under specific initiatives such as Erasmus+ programmes, Erasmus Mundus programmes , international programmes and local government programmes.
Visiting PhD exchanges must be agreed directly with the departmental professors and are managed directly by the departments, not by the Doctoral School. Candidates must contact the professors of the department and of the areas of interest directly. Departmental contacts can be found at the following link ( department list in English ).
In order to apply for mobility funding, you will need to have approval from a professor of your exchange visit plan.
The contact for administrative issues relating to Erasmus programmes is [email protected] .
Erasmus+ (incoming mobility)
The Erasmus Program offers support for mobility of students within European countries.
UNIRC welcomes PhD candidates from other European universities under this programme.
Selection procedures are managed within the home university. For PhD candidates, after selection for the programme, the Politecnico has to accept the students for mobility, so it is preferable to make contact with a research group in advance, to plan the visit.
