Third Mission Quality Assessment

In VQR1, ANVUR introduced the observation of Third Mission activities, defining specific indicators for both technological and human sciences activities. These are included in a separate section of the Self-evaluation Report, drawn up by the NdV, to assess the impact of research activities.

Currently, the evaluation of Third Mission activities is still in the experimental phase and is part of the self-evaluation and periodic evaluation processes of universities, declared in the third part of the SUA-RD. This evaluation reflects the interest of universities to open up to the socio-economic world, in a varied way and in line with their mission and the territorial context.

A commission of experts, the CETM, conducts the periodic evaluation within the VQR using the method of informed peer review. This evaluation is included in a separate chapter of the Report on Universities but does not influence the indicators used for the distribution of the bonus share of the FFO.
