Studying at DIIES
Department of Information, Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy Engineering (DIIES)
Dear Students,
The DIIES Department is the only Engineering department in Calabria and Sicily to have obtained the Department of Excellence certification from the Ministry of University and Scientific Research for the five-year period 2023-2027.
As many as 11 professors from the DIIES Department have been included in the TOP 2% Scientist ranking, drawn up by Stanford University, which lists the best researchers worldwide in 2024.
This determines the high quality of the Study Courses, which allows our students to achieve a high level of preparation recognized internationally.
The DIIES Department offers recent graduates two Bachelor's Degree programs, one in "Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (L8)" and one in "Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (L8)", followed by the possibility of specializing with a Master's Degree in "Computer and Telecommunications Systems Engineering (LM27)" and a Master's Degree in "Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (LM29)". Furthermore, as a third level of education, it offers a PhD program in "Information Engineering".
Each program offers a variety of curricula and specializations, allowing you to build a course of study that best suits your interests and aspirations. This will allow you to delve into current and critically important topics in today's world, such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, the Future Internet, Holographic Communications, Biomedicine, Electronics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Sustainable Energy.
Furthermore, during your training program, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills in one of the Department's 15 laboratories and complete a training internship, in Italy or abroad, at one of the over one hundred leading companies that have signed an agreement with the DIIES.
At this point, I can only invite you to choose the courses offered by DIIES to aim for excellent preparation and be projected into a future as protagonists of innovation.
See you in our classrooms,
The Director
