The Erasmus project (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) offers the possibility of studying at a European university or doing an internship in a country within the Union.

The project takes its name from the Dutch humanist and theologian Erasmus of Rotterdam, who in the 15th century traveled throughout Europe for several years to understand its different cultures.

Erasmus allows students to attend a participating European university, where they can take courses and exams related to their academic curriculum, or study for their thesis. Erasmus also encourages the mobility of doctoral students.

The Università Mediterranea di  Reggio Calabria annually publishes a call for applications for Erasmus+ study grants and Erasmus+ traineeship grants.

Within the framework of bilateral agreements, the DIIES promotes the mobility of both its outgoing and incoming international students. Assistance for incoming and outgoing students is ensured and monitored:

  • from the International Relations and Language Services Area: Dr. Daniela Dattola ( [email protected] );
  • from the Teaching, Postgraduate Training and International Relations Sector: Dr. Antonella Molinaro ( [email protected] );
  • by the Delegate for the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme of the Department, Prof. Filippo Gianmaria Praticò ( [email protected] );
