Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes

The Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria pursues the experimental and innovative objectives envisaged by the new Erasmus+ program, and aims to unite groups of students and host teachers from other partner universities to undertake an international exchange training program .

Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are a new type of short and intensive mobility that allows you to carry out an internationalisation experience that combines a short physical mobility with a mandatory virtual component.

With objectives focused on fostering inter-institutional collaboration, innovating educational offerings, equipping students with future-oriented skills, promoting cultural and academic exchange, and ensuring academic recognition, the BIP proposes a flexible and interdisciplinary curriculum. This initiative is designed to broaden participants' global perspectives, enhance employability, and support high standards of academic excellence.

Objectives:

The BIP explores some of the problems posed by climate change, with particular focus on the Mediterranean area, and proposes innovative solutions to these problems. By integrating natural elements into the spaces in which we live and work, this programme emphasises the connection between people and their environment, promoting physical and mental well-being.

Programme Description

Participants will immerse themselves directly in vulnerable ecosystems to deepen their understanding of climate impacts and nature's invaluable role in human life.

Through field experiences, seminars and hands-on workshops, the BIP programme will enable participants to design sustainable spaces that strengthen the connection between people and nature, while addressing the impacts of climate change in one of the world's most at-risk regions.
